Salary

SALARY PACKAGE: QR 15000 / 20000. Salary Negotiable for Qualified Applicants

Key Purpose

To Rate analysis and preparation of technical and commercial bids for tenders.  Reports to the Head of Contracts.  Safety Key Accountabilities:  Comply with safe working procedures.  Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.  Assist with the preparation of risk assessments.  Report HSE problems

Role & Responsibilities

Scrutinizing of tender documents, find out discrepancy in the tender documents and Prepare technical clarification letter to the Consultant. Preparation of budget estimate. Detailed and accurate quantities take off. Preparing sub-contract bid document, Technical and commercial evaluation of subcontract quotation and negotiation with subcontractors. Organize dealing with Department staff. Preparing material and manpower requirements. Cost control of projects.  Identify and prepare variations and monthly valuations for the projects.  Verify subcontractor variation and payment certificates.  Attending site visits and assessing site conditions for tenders & Cost

Candidate Profile

University Degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying, out of which minimum 3 years Middle East experience / Diploma in Civil Engineering with 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying, out of which 5 years Middle East experience. Experience in working for wood joinery and wood decorative factory (producing custom made products such as doors, frames, molding, screens, paneling, counters, etc.) Capability to read drawings and specifications and prepare quantities for pricing. Good knowledge of wood products, species of wood and veneer, other products related to woodwork, panels, decorative material, etc. Knowledge of GCC Suppliers and Subcontractors, material and labor, markets. Required excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Required sound judgment, ability to organize, and dealing with Department staff. Must be well organized and flexible to deal with a variety of issues at the same time above to set priorities and work to deadlines. Must have good knowledge of common computer applications including Word, Excel, E mail and internet. Knowledge of Qatar Construction Specification
